We have about 12 years left

Second Series + 2 Mar 2019 Stamford Arts Centre

The artwork and performance reflect the artist's contemplation about the morality and sustainability of more human life on an overburdened earth and how this contemplation manifests in the feminine womb space. The audience is invited into a ruminative quietude as they enter an intimate space within the artist's creations. Five life-sized clay wombs encompassing five intersecting conversations on identity, culture, environment and what it means to be human, are made in collaboration with renowned ceramist Steven Low of Clay Journey.

Title is taken from Harvard Business Review on 2018's sustainability report, published on Dec 27 2018.

Some stains deserve their own room

Third Series +

29 Jun 2019 42 Cambridge Road

An autobiographical performance about obsessions, compulsions, feminine fury and survival. The artist invites the audience into a room of her own making, full of memories, shuffled and ordered. Coffee and toothpaste are familiar scents. In a darkened room filled with not much else, where would the inescapable whiff of cheap roasted beans and menthol take you as our memories intertwine?

Lash Spa Lessons

Steeped Strong + 14 Dec 2019 Far East Plaza The Lash Spa & 01-80

There are 54 food establishments, 159 hair & beauty salons, 139 clothes & accessories shops, 37 tailors and 45 nail salons in Far East Plaza. This performance piece takes place in one of the 45 nail salons.

The hour-long private performance is a joyous indulgence into the excesses of beauty. It was part-lecture, movement and performance theatre, seeking a fully feminine connection of giving and receiving. Veronyka was joined by six guests from the arts community - Agatha Lee, Eve Tan, Haylee Han, Jireh Koh, Nicolette Teo and Tessa Sam.

Photographic documentation by Ho Choon Hiong and Teck Lim.
