Jillian Wong

Jillian Wong (b.1996) is a Singaporean artist, currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Jillian has collaborated with industries including Singapore Symphony Orchestra, OCBC Premier Private Client, and participates actively in the arts industry, helping out during Singapore Art Week 2018 at the Parkview Museum, and other galleries. She has also participated in group exhibitions held at the On-Air Gallery and the Fine Art Corridor in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and The Connoisseur Concerto Singapore.

My practice revolves around my personal narratives and my faith and in 'who am i serving?', I explore the dilemma I face when I make work. I question whether the work I make serves God or myself. The act of cleaning my family's toilet, is a way of serving them, but showing it off to the world, does that serve myself or them? Commentary
